Tell our readers about your company, and what they can expect from you and your team this year! At Collection, we love working with our clients. We help brides select beautiful furniture, which allows them to personalize their wedding style. We offer authentic high-touch service in every aspect in the planning process. We listen to our client’s needs, and for 2017 brides are asking for statement furniture, so we are adding unique furniture to meet that need!
Let’s talk style. How would you describe yours? Who are your style muses? Furniture wise - We play with pretty furniture everyday, and love being creative with new trends and styles. We carry mid-century, modern, classic, and contemporary furniture lines. We carry so many different styles, because we love to adapt to our clients needs and expectations. We love layering textures, and creating moods throughout a room that evoke a specific feeling. Lois and I always look at each other when we see furniture and say, could we make that gold?
Who inspires you and why? We can’t limit ourselves to style icons, we often find inspiration from different time periods in life, from Dorothy Draper’s modern baroque style to Eero Saarinen and Richard Neutra’s mid-century modern minimalist design. We don’t want to ever limit our creativity to one style. We love to be able to adapt to different trends and styles for our clients.
What is something you love about working at Collection? Creativity on a daily basis is a great reason to come to work. We love to experience our client’s satisfaction at the end of an event. It is gratifying to know that you have contributed to a client’s dream come true through the products and services that we offer.
We have a lot of engaged readers wondering how they approach luxury rentals. What does it add to their wedding event? Adding luxury rentals is a reflection of the client’s personal style. Furniture and the overall aesthetic of the event is an extension of the couple. Tying a look together, even by choosing different colors and textures of pillows can convey a particular mood and feeling.
What are 3 ways a couple can incorporate rentals into their wedding? Having lounge groupings in the cocktail area or around the dance floor has been a huge trend this year. The couple can rent a love seat for them to sit on at their sweetheart or head table. Another option is adding some personality to the bars and stage with beautiful surrounds.
What trends are you excited to incorporate into your 2017 designs? We are thrilled about our (soon to come) new bars and stage surrounds, they are custom made and we cannot wait to have them in our inventory! We are also incorporating colorful furniture! We just built a 16 feet Infinity white trim bar, and it has been a huge hit already!
Describe your ideal wedding client! We love working with our planners and designers. We want to supply what they need to sell the dream to their brides. We love having them in as well with the client, because our planners and designers come up with new looks and put things together in a way we haven’t seen before. A piece of our furniture can have so many different looks depending on what it is paired with, and what accents we pull in.
What Grice Grove products are you loving?! We can’t pick just one! We love the cocktail napkins, the copper pineapple shaker, and the gold hand bottle opener! We will be getting some for our new office for entertaining clients. Kaitlynne has inspired us to have a bar cart in our office, it will be gold of course!
